WHAT IS LUTTZ?
LUTTZ is an independent artist-led textile project based in Marseille.
Each design begins as an original painting. These artworks are later translated into textiles, garments, and objects.

Rather than functioning as a traditional fashion brand, LUTTZ operates at the intersection of art, textile design, and contemporary visual culture.
WHO IS BEHIND LUTTZ?
LUTTZ is created and directed by a single artist.
The person behind the project arrived in Marseille more than ten years ago — almost by accident, or perhaps by a kind of Mediterranean magic — and decided to stay.
Working independently, the artist develops motifs that begin as paintings and later evolve into textiles, garments, and objects.
WHY THE NAME LUTTZ?
The name LUTTZ is a tribute.
It is inspired by the founder’s father, whose name was LUTZ.
The additional letter transforms the name into an artistic signature.
His free spirit and love of color continue to inspire the project.
WHAT IS THE PIRATE BIRD ICON?
The pirate bird is the emblem of LUTTZ.
It represents freedom, independence, and movement — a spirit closely connected to Marseille and the Mediterranean.
Its simple drawing brings a sense of lightness and imagination to the LUTTZ identity.
WHAT INSPIRES LUTTZ?
Marseille itself is a major source of inspiration.
The city’s extraordinary light, its position between the Côte Bleue and the Côte d’Azur, and the presence of the Mediterranean shape the visual atmosphere of the project.
The spirit of Marseille — freedom, openness, and exceptional cultural diversity — strongly influences the creative process.
These impressions of light, color, and energy are first explored through painting and later translated into textiles.
DESIGN & PRODUCTS
WHERE DO THE DESIGNS COME FROM?
All designs originate from original paintings created within the LUTTZ project.
These artworks are transformed into textile patterns used for garments, bags, and accessories.
DO LUTTZ PRODUCTS INCLUDE THE NAME OR LOGO?
Yes.
The LUTTZ name, the pirate bird icon, or a combination of both often appear as part of the designs.
They are integrated into the composition in a graphic pattern-like way rather than used only as a traditional logo.
Many pieces are also signed, reflecting the artistic origin of the project.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO DISCOVER LUTTZ?
The UNIQUA Classic Bag is one of the iconic pieces of LUTTZ.
Its minimal design is inspired by the colors of Marseille and the Mediterranean South and marked with the pirate bird emblem of the project.

WHICH LUTTZ BAG IS BEST FOR EVERYDAY USE?
The UNIQUA Classic Bag is one of the most versatile pieces in the LUTTZ universe and works well for everyday use.
LUTTZ also offers the UNIQUA Daily, the same size but featuring more colorful compositions derived from LUTTZ artwork, and the UNIQUA Big, a larger version designed for travel, beach days or carrying more.

ARE LUTTZ PIECES PRODUCTED IN LARGE QUANTITIES?
No.
LUTTZ operates on a small scale and most pieces are produced in limited quantities or made to order.
IS LUTTZ FAST FASHION?
No.
LUTTZ follows a slower and more experimental approach where designs evolve through artistic research rather than mass seasonal production.
PRODUCTION
WHERE ARE LUTTZ PRODUCTS MADE?
LUTTZ pieces are designed in Marseille — produced in Europe.
The artistic process of the project takes place in Marseille, where the paintings and textile designs are developed.
The production of LUTTZ pieces is carried out with specialized workshops in Europe, selected for their expertise and their ability to produce small quantities with high quality standards.
This approach allows LUTTZ to maintain careful production while working on a small and independent scale.
WHY ARE LUTTZ PRODUCTS PRODUCED IN EUROPE AND NOT IN MARSEILLE?
LUTTZ is based in Marseille where all designs are created.
The intention was originally to produce locally, but because LUTTZ operates on a very small scale it has been difficult to find local manufacturers able to work with such limited quantities.
For this reason, LUTTZ collaborates with specialized workshops in Europe capable of producing small series with high quality standards.
If a suitable production partner is found in Marseille or the region in the future, local production would be the ideal scenario.
ORDERS & SHIPPING
WHERE DOES LUTTZ SHIP?
LUTTZ currently ships to the following countries and regions:
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Greenland, Guernsey, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Jersey, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the United States.
Shipping availability may evolve as the project grows and new destinations become possible.
HOW LONG DOES SHIPPING TAKE?
Estimated delivery times are usually 10–14 business days, depending on the destination and the product.
Delivery times may vary slightly depending on availability and preparation time.
WHY CAN SHIPPING TAKE LONGER?
LUTTZ operates as a small and independent project.
Some pieces are produced or prepared in limited quantities rather than stored in large inventories. The project follows a slower and more careful process rather than fast fashion mass production.
For this reason, certain orders may require additional preparation time before shipping.
RETURNS
CAN I RETURN THE PRODUCT?
Yes. Products can be returned within 14 days after delivery if they are unused and in their original condition.
MARSEILLE STUDIO
DO YOU HAVE A PHYSICAL SHOP IN MARSEILLE?
LUTTZ does not currently operate a permanent physical shop.
Pieces are available online through the official website.
IS THE LUTTZ STUDIO OPEN FOR VISITS?
The studio is not regularly open to the public.
Visits may occasionally be possible by appointment or during special events.
COLLABORATIONS
DOES LUTTZ COLLABORATE WITH ARTISTS?
Yes.
LUTTZ is open to creative collaborations in fields such as art, music, dance, and design.
For special events or particular projects, it may also be possible to create one-of-a-kind pieces in response to specific requests.

The LUTTZ® trademark is registered and protected.
All paintings, drawings, textile patterns, photographs, texts, and graphic elements presented on this website are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
The LUTTZ trademark is registered with the INPI (French National Institute of Industrial Property) and benefits from international protection through the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Certain artworks and creations have also been deposited with a notary in order to establish proof of authorship and prior creation.
Any reproduction, use, or distribution without prior authorization is strictly prohibited.
